Judson Ray's Birth

Every expectant mother has their own perfect way they've imagined the birth process going. Some spend hours creating a birth plan of exactly how they wish things to go. Some are simply told how things will have to go.

A VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean) is usually denied by doctors due to some risks to momma and baby. Most OBGYNs won't even talk about the option. However, Nicole was determined! With her first baby Nicole had a c-section, however, due to some spinal issues, she had to be put to sleep for the surgery, thus missing her daughter's first moments on this side of life! From the moment Nicole found out about Lil Judson, she knew she was going to do any/everything to try a VBAC and be awake for his arrival! 

Nicole used Dr. Harris at Lee OBGYN in Opelika who, along with all the other doctors there, perform VBACs. Not only was Dr. Harris supportive in the decision to have a VBAC, he didn't give up on her through the long hours of labor. And, trust me when I say the labor hours were long- 20 hours from the moment of being induced, actually! But Nicole had an amazing support system through Dr. Harris, her husband and her mother. They never left her side. They cheered her on. They wouldn't let her give up on herself. And Nicole did incredible! Every nurse in the room talked about how she so amazingly endured the pains of labor....Rockstar Momma!!! 

Nicole is a perfect picture of choosing to have the birth you want! Praying over it. Finding the people needed to make it happen. And showing pure strength and determination to endure through the hardest thing she's ever been through in order to hear Judson's first cry. And I know she will say that it was worth EVERY SINGLE MOMENT. Mr. Judson Ray Taylor, you are absolutely perfect! And, you, my sir, are one lucky little fellow.... already so loved and prayed over!!
